I just completed the centre housing for the main body of the pump. I found it relatively easy to complete, however I did find myself struggling with some simple things like orientating a new plane, as I haven't done any 3d modelling for quite sometime. After some review I was easily able to overcome these issues.
The most challenging part for myself was actually measuring the product itself as, it can be quite difficult to get the vernier calipers into the tight spaces.
Modelling the part, I started by drawing the profile and then revolving it around the axis, I then proceeded to add the extrudes in by sketch on the relative faces.
Here is what the over all model looked like when i finished it.
I will be using this part as the starting point to use for my in-context modelling, as a lot of other parts can be reference off of it.
So far I'm feeling quite confident that I can complete the required task, I am a bit worried about the surface modelling and the technical drawings.
